πŸŒ‰ GASWORKS BRIDGE Update: Transport for NSW continues to carry out remediation work on Gasworks Bridge at Macarthur Street, Parramatta. But the planned bridge SHUTDOWN for this weekend is NO longer required. The northbound lane of Macarthur Street over Gasworks Bridge will remain CLOSED and only reopen to traffic once the project is complete.

Originally this project was expected to be completed in December 2023. However, it’s now expected to be completed in early 2024, due to additional remediation works being required.

Work done so far includes:
πŸ› οΈ installing scaffolding on the northern side of the bridge as well as on top of the bridge
πŸ› οΈ removing existing paint and repainted steel structures on the southern side of the bridge
πŸ› οΈ completing concrete repair work on the southern side of the bridge
πŸ› οΈ starting removal of the guardrail

Future bridge shutdown dates, subject to change and weather permitting, are as follows (between Friday, 8pm and Monday, 5am) :
⚠️ Friday 3rd to Monday 6th November
⚠️ Friday 10th to Monday 13th November
⚠️ Friday 17th to Monday 20th November
⚠️ Friday 24th to Monday 27th November
⚠️ Friday 1st to Monday 4th December
⚠️ Friday 8th to Monday 11th December
⚠️ Friday 15th to Monday 18th December
