βœ¨πŸŒ‰ Very happy to share that the Alfred Street Bridge will (finally) be OPENING by the end of October! πŸ‘

I caught the ferry up on Monday to see/ photograph it from the water – think I’ve got most angles now πŸ˜‰, thanks also to Selah and Sam for sharing photos from their homes. πŸ‘Œ

This is a BRAND NEW pedestrian and cyclist bridge over Parramatta River, between James Ruse Drive and the Gasworks Bridge. At 4.5 meters wide, and almost 200m long, it will be the first true diagonal arch bridge in Australia.

Alfred Street Bridge will serve as an important connection for residents living north of the river to the Parramatta Light Rail and our CBD. πŸ‘ It’s been a long time in the making and funded by City of Parramatta and NSW Government.

Note: in case you noticed a few people cycling and walking on the bridge today and thought it was open… they were there for a photoshoot and the bridge is still closed to the public.
